Not so often
I wanted to give you a heads up that I won't be posting on here as often. I've been in a lazy funk lately, so I am giving up the computer during the week so maybe I can actually get some stuff done and be productive. I will still be working on my Personal Progress and I'm going to attempt to meet someone new everyday. Have a great week and I will post the next experience for PP on Friday!

p.s.
I just remembered something. You don't need a book! If you go on lds.org, you can look up personal progress and you can create your own Personal Progress chart under your ward. All you need is your member number. I will continue to post all of the experiences and when you are done, you just click on the box for that experience on lds.org. Ask your wards YW leader to explain if this doesn't make sense. It's great that it's all online now and very convenient!
Reality
Okay, let's get real...I am not going to be able to do this! With the holidays and everything, I just don't think that I can meet a new person every day! Especially since I'm going to be in seclusion with family for 6 days over Thanksgiving....SO, instead of setting myself up for failure, I'm going to be real. I think that I will have to change my goal for this month, but I am going to use that goal in the future. I think it's really fun to get to know new people!
- Here is my new goal. I'm going to work on my Personal Progress for 30 days. I did it when I was in Young Women's, but I feel a need to do it again. It's like re-reading the Book of Mormon. You learn something new every time you do it. It's been 11 years, and I think it's time for a refresher.
Today I am starting with Faith - "Faith is not to have a perfect knowledge of things; therefore, if ye have Faith ye hope for things which are not seen, which are true." Alma 32:21
The first Experience is " The first principle of the gospel in faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Learn about Faith from the scriptures and living prophets. Read: Hebrews 11;Alma 32:17-43;Ether 12:6-22; and Joseph Smith -History 1:11-20. Read two General Conference talks on Faith. Exercise your own faith by establishing a habit of prayer in your life. Begin by regularly saying your morning and evening prayers. After 3 weeks of following this pattern, discuss with a parent of leader what you have learned about faith and how daily personal prayer has strengthened your faith. In your journal express your feelings about faith and prayer."
Holy Cow that is a lot! As I as typing all of that, I was thinking that it would be great for all of us to do this together and I think I'm going to try to get it finished by my next birthday. This is going to be an ongoing goal. Get a Personal Progress book from your YW President in your Ward and let's do this!!

Days 3,4 and 5?
Wow! This week just flew past me! I have been super busy and I don't think I've even met anyone new so far......I did meet Emily Vance. She is our Stake YW President. She is really nice and her family is training to do their first half marathon together in January. I guess that's not really getting to "know" her. I need to do better. Today I am doing my visiting teaching and we have a new girl, so I will get to know her tonight. I am going to do better!
Eating is good. I definitely love eating my salads. I have romaine lettuce, spinach, apples, walnuts, and feta cheese. I top it with Raspberry Pecan Vinegarette. YUM! Have one today and enjoy it!

Day 2
Today I met Taya Oakey. I had seen her before, but I hadn't really met her. Her family is in my ward, but she has been attending BYU. I came to meet her because we have a mutual friend. Her roommate is one of my very very good friends from High School, Sharla Lawlor. Try saying that name 5 times fast! Anyway, Taya is home from school and getting ready to serve a mission in Africa....talk about crazy! She leaves on Valentine's Day to report to the Johannasberg, South Africa MTC. She has flaming red hair, so she is sure to attract a lot of attention!
Raw Diet update: There is an amazing woman in my ward who has eaten Raw for 10 years, and yesterday I finally got the nerve up to ask her for some help. I've been eating green smoothies and salad and I'd like to see what else I can have. For instance: She said that she had spanish rice in her dehydrator at home for her lunch after church....I'm all about eating that! She was so excited to help me and I am going to call her today to see if I can meet with her to get some other recipes. Also, Kyle has decided to do it with me, except he will eat chicken too.
*I'm going to see if the people I meet will let me take their picture to post on here so you can meet them too!

Good Grief!
I know it's been a while....this week was bad! With my parents here, I was so super busy and I just never had anytime to get on here, then when I did, I couldn't get in so I had to reset my password and my internet went out while I was in the middle of doing that! Crazy!
Speaking of my parents being here, my raw diet went out the window! We went to Jackson for the weekend and my dad is an amazing cook and he made so much yummy food that I couldn't resist! Then I had a date day on Monday with my dad and I took him to The Snake Bite for lunch and then we warmed up at Great Harvest with pumpkin bread and hot chocolate! I was really naughty! So today was my official Day 1....again. I'm back on my raw diet and I am also going to meet someone new everyday for the next 30 days. I started that off by meeting Sarah Nelson. She is the mother of Quindy Nelson, who rides the bus home with Emily everyday. They live in Carriage Gate, just up the street from us and she has 3 kids. We exchanged phone numbers and Emily showed me where they live. It was fun to have her give me directions. She was remembering from her bus ride everyday. She did good and we only got lost once.
I ate a delicious salad today and made a batch of raw cookies to help me make it through the rest of the weekend. I just feel better when I eat healthy. I am determined not to get side tracked again! I can do it!

Day 4 and Day 23
For my service today, I went to my neighbor Angela's house and showed her how I curl my hair with Hot Rollers. Her hair looked beautiful and she is going to send me a picture so I can post it on here. It was fun! As for my Raw Diet, I am doing good, but I really need some good recipes' for beans....Come on people!! I did get a recipe for bean burgers that I am going to try...I'll let you know!
p.s. I am going to be MIA again over the weekend! I have been so busy for the last 2 weekends! I love it! I'll post tomorrow, but then I'll post again on Monday. Happy Thursday everyone!

Day 3 and Day 22
Okay, this is totally crazy! I have already lost 3 lbs. and I feel amazing! I was a little hungry yesterday and I had a slight headache from sugar withdrawl, but other than that I feel like I have so much energy! I made more raw chocolate chip cookies today and they are amazing! My kids love them! I have been eating salad like crazy and my shakes are so delicious! I am still trying to figure out the whole bean thing, but my dad is going to help me find a good way to eat them.
Service today is writing letters to my family members who are so far away! I miss them so much! I love getting mail and it lifts my spirits when I hear from my family! Family is so amazing! I hope that everyone loves their families as much as I love mine and Kyle's! If you are having problems with your family, clear it up now. Life is too short to be angry or to have bad feelings for someone. I pray that my children will always love each other as much as they love each other right now! It warms my heart when Natali leaves for piano lessons and she gives her sisters a kiss and hug and says goodbye to them! I love watching Emily and Kathryn playing house under my kitchen table together. I love hearing Audrey and Natali giggling like crazy on their way downstairs to get ready for bed. They are all such good friends and I pray that they stay that way!
-Do you have a good relationship with your siblings? I would like some comments so please tell me about your family!!.....is anyone out there? I know my sister-in-law is reading this. Anyone else?

Day 2 and Day 21
I think I'm going to get confused with my days! Oh well, it's okay. As for my service yesterday, it was all at home. I helped Kyle re-arrange our house which took until 12:30 a.m. and all we ended up doing was moving the t.v......crazy! We moved our couch 4 times, took the door off the hinges twice, brought my desk upstairs and then back down again! I swear Kyle should own a staging company or do interior design with all the times he likes to re-arrange our house! Today I'm going to finish delivering treats to my visiting teaching women and then help the YW presidency get ready for YW in Excellence. I am also going to try to stop by someone's house and do something for them...I'll let you know what I do!
As for my Day 2- I am currently drinking the best spinach, mixed berry, banana, orange juice, flax seed, and almond milk shake I have ever had! I made it through Halloween without any candy and I felt great! I made raw chocolate chip cookies last night and they were soo sweet and good! I'm going to have a few today! I'm feeling really good and unusually energized, especially since all the work I did last night. I'm going to keep up the good work today! Here is the recipe for my drink:
I filled my blender with baby spinach
1/2 cup. almond milk
3 cut strawberries
1/2 cup frozen mixed berries (blueberries, rasperries, etc)
1 whole banana
1 tsp. ground flax seed
juice from one freshly squeezed orange
Blend until it turns the most disgusting shade of dark green and enjoy! I promise it really tastes good! It tastes like an orange julius!
